Cenote Kikil, an ideal tourist destination to visit

One of the charms of Yucatan is the Cenote Kikil, a beautiful space where you can enjoy tranquility and contact with nature.

Kikil is located near the municipality of Tizimín, and you can enjoy a calm, relaxed and very familiar atmosphere. In the surroundings of Cenote Kikil you can find a restaurant where you can enjoy a la carte dishes of fish and seafood, poultry, beef, and pork; and the drinks of your choice.

It is important to note that this place is the gateway to the Río Lagartos Biosphere Reserve, a place that houses destinations such as San Felipe, Río Lagartos, Coloradas and El Cuyo.

One of the main attractions of this reserve are the mangroves and the fauna, where you can see flamingos, which gather in the thousands in season from May to September.

Among the main services you can find palapas to rest with hammocks, cabins to stay, restrooms, gardens, internet and telephone signal.

It is important to note that this project began in 2015 through a cooperative society of the residents of the community.

This cenote is open type, and in order to access you must make mandatory use of life jackets as it has a depth of 55 meters and a diameter of 30 to 35 meters.
