Holbox Island (Isla Holbox)
Holbox Island is located in the state of Quintana Roo, and belongs to the Yum Balam Biosphere Reserve. Holbox, its name means "Black Hole", and one of its main attractions is the sighting of the whale shark from mid-June to September.
The Island has virgin beaches and ecosystems that are the habitat of various species such as; dolphins, pelicans, turtles, flamingos and others. It is surrounded by beaches bathed in white sand, with crystal clear waters, which are a wonderful postcard.
In Isla Holbox you can do water activities such as:
