Azul Cenote, a gift of nature located in Bacalar, México

... ...

The Cenote Azul is located in Bacalar, it is a wonderful place with beautiful landscapes that we recommend you visit.

It is located right on the coast of the Bacalar Lagoon, its name is due to the color of its crystal clear waters with a turquoise blue hue.

Of deep waters, it is considered the largest of the cenotes thanks to the fact that it has a large extension of 200 meters wide and 90 meters deep.

Visiting it is as if you were in a lagoon completely surrounded by abundant jungle vegetation, only with a clear area that is the mouth that connects the Cenote with the Bacalar Lagoon.

The Azul Cenote is open, and in the deepest part runs a river that connects it with the other cenotes in the Yucatan Peninsula, it is at ground level so it does not have caverns, a characteristic that makes it different from the others.

The Cenote Azul allows us to live a great experience for diving and snorkeling, since it has exuberant labyrinths of superimposed and united roots and trunks, as well as large holes of different shapes and sizes as well as rock formations.

You will be able to admire the great variety of colorful fish of different species, which will make you pleasant company to know the enigmatic bottom of the Azul Cenote.

After the visit to the cenote, you can visit the restaurant that is right next door, where you will find the delicacies of the region, as well as refreshing drinks accompanied by a spectacular view.
